Col Novanton sur la spala
Sorry, The title had to be in dialect :D maybe because that was nearly the only spoken language at the time of war
It means: "With the mod.91 on the shoulder"
A random partisan from our resistance movement against the nazi-fascist regime
Pencils and photoshop filtering
Here is the original drawing:

Hello there,
I wanted to ask something to the other deviants like me, whether core or not :P
I was told by many teachers that for improving the drawing skill i should only (or mostly) copy, from pages and illustrations by other authors.
Is it really so true, in your opinion?
Personally, i can use some photo reference time by time, but in the most recent times i've been drawing just from my mind, i think it is a good exercise too, that makes you use your photographic memory, this is the way i produced those two sketches, for example:

Mature Content

Nude woman digital sketch by B4LD3R
and this newer one Biting her pinkie by B4LD3R not even for this one i've used a pose reference at all Ingvar by B4LD3R

I don't know if it is me, but, i found copying too much easy to actually learn something by doing that,
That's why i created a specific folder to put all the photographic portraits in it:
b4ld3r.deviantart.com/gallery/…

So i can let myself get inspired by some images i've seen previously, or by the style of authors i like that could influence me, IMHO this is the best way, but, i'm open to debate on it if you would like to give your advice,
i'd be most thankful ^^

Italy
I accomplished diploma at artistic high scool Francesco Arcangeli in Tolmino street, Bologna, Italy.
Always in my city, i attended to various advertising graphic courses.
Then i approached the world of comics with just as many concerning courses, during which i realized a comic alongside the classmates
and another by myself about the italian partisan Carlo Jussi,
I've propose it as project for a contest announced by my district
in which i've won and ranked second, the comic have been printed in 2000 copies to be distributed in schools and other public places, and the pages of the comic have been printed on panels for this Exhibit: b4ld3r.deviantart.com/art/My-f…
I'm now doing a comic based on the story of the Viking Björn Jarnsida (Bjorn Ironside), he belonged to the swedish royal dinasty of Munsö
